Community

Although a small organization Citytri is making strides to work with community partners. We are proud to have a relationship with them and strive to make the events as meaningful for them as they are for the rest of us. Below is a list of the organizations that we work with and a brief description of our relationship.

Greater Tuckahoe Area Merchants Association

This close knit group of local merchants from historic Tuckahoe, NJ have worked together for the betterment of their community. One of their initiatives is fund raising for the Jim and Martha Owens Scholarship Fund that awards college students from the local community to help with their college expenses. More information on their organization can be found at the following link:

The Association manages the 25+ year old annual Tuckahoe River Canoe and Kayak Race. Citytri donates equipment and staff to help with the event which is held on the same weekend as the Upperman Duathlon. The race is held to benefit the scholarship fund and usually brings up to 100 participants annually. You can sign up for the race on race day, Sunday, August 5th, 2007 at 9 AM. We’ll provide you with the opportunity to sign up online in the near future.

Your registration to the Upperman Duathlon includes one entry for the raffle held at the Canoe and Kayak race. The winners of the raffle are awarded with a free Kayak, bike, and other prizes. You can purchase more raffle tickets at the Duathlon and the Canoe and Kayac race. We’ll also provide you with he opportunity to purchase these tickets online in the near future. The raffle ticket sales also benefit the scholarship fund.
